People often need more than medical care to become healthy. Social determinants of health, such as housing, employment, working conditions, disability benefits and personal safety, can have a profound impact on a person's ability to live a healthy and fulfilled life, more so if that person is already living in poverty.

COMING SOON: To address these needs, FamilyCare is working with Legal Aid of West Virginia to create a new partnership, placing an attorney at several FamilyCare sites. There will be no charge to low-income patients - to help with some of the legal problems that can stand in the way of good health.
